The PS8804 addresses high-speed signal switching and signal integrity requirements for the implementation of a USB Type-C ® (or USB-C ® ) connector on a USB host device that supports the VESA ® DisplayPort ™ Alt Mode Standard. Similar to the PS8802 but with an extended feature set, the device includes an integrated, full-featured PD 3.0 controller providing a complete solution for USB Type-C power delivery and port control.
